Plaza Mayor is a comprehensive leisure and shopping park
built over 30 hectares on the outskirts of Malaga and close to the main tourist destinations of the Costa del
The Parque de Ocio (leisure park) comprises of 33,000m2 of leisure facilities including a 20 screen multiplex
cinema, IMAX cinema, Solinca - the largest health and fitness club in Spain, Nike superstore, Pasado Antonio (owned by
the Banderas family) and over 100 bars, restuarants and leisure related retail outlets. The leisure park was
opened in 2002.
The Centro Comercial (shopping centre) comprises of 20,000m2 retail space anchored by the
Inditex (Zara) group, C&A, Mothercare, H&M and a Mercadona supermarket. This phase was opened
in September 2008. A third phase of 20,000m2 is currently under construction.
